Som - Vocals, Backup Guitars
Soumya Ghosh (Som) left his 10 years old IT Job to pursue his full-time music career in the year 2015. He has passed Grade 8 in Western Popular Vocal Music and also won the Prestigious Golden Voice Rolling Trophy from London College of Music. He was the vocal trainer in London College of Music as well as in Mahadevi Birla Shishu Vihar. Till date he has done many live shows, collaborated with many eminent artists and music directors across the country such as Baiju Dharmajan - the legendary guitarist from India, Debojyoti Mishra, Kabir Suman and many more. He is the founder - frontman - singer - songwriter of kolkata based bengali rock band 'Inferno'. He is also the frontman and vocalist of Kolkata based bands such as 'Nucleus', 'Folk Tales' and 'Som & Mates'.
Mainak - Guitarist
Started playing guitar in 2003 while staying far away from home for studying engineering. A self taught guitarist. In the year of 2004 formed a band called "khonj". Participated and won lot of band competitions in 2006 to 2008. Got the best guitarist award in "waltz2006". Was a guitarist of Silajit. In 2009 played first movie guitar playback in a Bengali movie"bye bye Bangkok". Then played in many advertisements and films. Was also been a part of sky fie lounge and have played with other artists too. In 2011 formed "rollywood" and launched an album called "harano folder" with the band. Also Collaborated in other albums of various artists as well. Recently played in lot of "hoichoi" web series.
Riju - Bassist
Generally maintains a low profile as a person and lets his guitar do the talking most of the time. Playing for 12 years...
participated in various competitions.. including IIT Rurkey, IIT Madras, wining various college competitions. Awarded best bass player prize in Scottish church collage and vidyasagar college. Played with various bands like kripa, kolaj, Rollywood
Recorded a national album with rollywood under the lebel inreco records.Also recorded with various artists in multiple different platforms..
Kushal – Drummer, Percussionist, Backing Vocals
Trained in Tabla under Sri Bhaskar Banerjee and a self-taught drummer, he is the power house of the band with his varied ability to play different rhythms of the east and the west through his drum kit.
He is the founder member of Nucleus. He has collaborated with Music Directors - Mr. Debojyoti Mishra and Mr. Deb Chowdhury for many projects. Also an eminent member of the renowned UML – Ujjaini Mukherjee Live, Bangla Band SHAHAR and others.
Was founder member of the band the Monkberries and folk band "SAHAJIYA"
Sushen – Keyboardist and backing Vocals
Playing keyboards since 11yrs old. Played in many concerts with Late Mr. V Balsara and Mrs. Usha Uthup. Greatest influences are Yanni, Richard Clayderman, Jordan Rudess and Chick Corea. His experience brings in a rock solid thought process for the music for the band. He is more inclined towards western classical and jazz hence the band gets a lot technical knowhow from him. Also an eminent member of the renowned UML – Ujjaini Mukherjee Live
Amrita – Vocals
Belonging to Santiniketan, she started off her journey as a vocalist in 2017 when she got her first break at the roof concert organized by Upal Sengupta of Chondrobindu. From then on she has performed and recorded for various eminent musicians of Kolkata like Anindya Chatterjee, Shilajit Majumder, Lopamudra Maitra, Fakira Band etc.
She has also been performing western music at places like Lords and Barons, Monkey Bar, Someplace Else, What's Up Cafe, Fort William, Dalhousie Institute, Calcutta 64, HHI Virgose, etc. She is also a part of Bandobees, which is an all girls project and sang for Zee TV "Nakshi Kantha" Star Jalsa.
She was the 1st runner up of a music show; Gaan Fight; organized by Akash Aath. Along with her music she is currently pursuing her masters in Social Work from St. Xavier's University, Kolkata.
